What a Limited Licence gets you back
A Limited Licence lets you drive again for specific, court-approved purposes - getting to and from work, doing the school run, the essentials - while your suspension runs its course. You apply to your District Court for an Order; NZLL prepares everything that goes into that application.
Why this suits a demerit-point suspension especially well
Unlike a court disqualification, a demerit-point suspension has no stand-down period. There's no mandatory 28 days you have to wait out before you can even start. If your bundle is ready, you can file straight away, once your suspension notice has actually been served on you.
